The Secretary General of the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY), Mr. Dusen Kaseinov and his delegation paid a visit to the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey Besir Atalay at his office. The meeting took place on January 6th, 2012 in the presence of TURKSOY Secretary General Kaseinov, the Deputy Secretary of State of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey Kemal Fahir Genc and TURKSOY Deputy Secretary General Ass. Prof. Dr. Firat Purtas.
At the meeting where the activities of TURKSOY were discussed, Mr. Kaseinov extended his gratitude to Mr. Atalay for the support of the Promotion Fund of the Prime Ministry to TURKSOY. Mr. Kasinov who reminded of the fact that major events such as the Koroghlu Opera and Nevruz Celebrations realized in the USA were realized thanks to the support of the Promotion Fund of the Prime Ministry also talked about recent activities of TURKSOY. Mr. Kaseinov who gave information concerning events realized by TURKSOY in order to promote Turkic Culture accross the world, also said that Nevruz Celebrations have now become an internationally known event thanks to TURKSOY. Mr. Kaseinov said that this year’s Nevruz Celebrations will be organized in Rabat in cooperation with the ISESCO on March 24th, 2012. Mr. Atalay expressed his happiness about the fact that international cooperation activities of TURKSOY are becoming stronger every day and said that thanks to these cooperation activities TURKSOY’s notoriety on the international platform is constantly growing. Mr. Atalay who said that he is also assuming the function of Co-Chairman of the Alliance of Civilizations founded upon initiative of the UN and co-chaired by Turkey and Spain added that all activities and events realized by TURKSOY can be seen as part of this concept, and therefore congratulated Mr. Kaseinov for his extremely valuable efforts. Mr. Atalay concluded by saying that the Promotion Fund of the Prime Ministry will continue supporting TURKSOY as far as possible in the realization of its activities. The Deputy Secretary of State of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey Kemal Fahir Genc who also took the floor at the meeting said that the material contribution of Turkey to TURKSOY is not restricted to the payment of membership fees, as the Promotion Fund of the Prime Ministry and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Rpublic of Turkey are both supporting TURKSOY with all their units and departments and that as a consequence, TURKSOY realizes events and activities far beyond its budgetary capacity. Át the end of the meeting, TURKSOY Secretary General Kaseinov who presented publications of TURKSOY, offered a painting realized in one of the Painting Artists’ Gatherings realized by TURKSOY to the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey Mr. Besir Atalay.
